Daniela de L. Martins completed her bachelor's degree in Chemistry at UERJ (2003) and obtained her master's and doctorate degrees at UFRJ/IPPN (2005, 2010). Since 2010, she has been a professor at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), in Niterói. She is a permanent member of the PPGQ, the graduate program in chemistry at UFF.

She leads the research group on Catalysis and Synthesis, the LabCSI, where she has already supervised scientific and technological initiation students, course conclusion works, master's dissertations and doctoral theses.

In leading LabCSI, she seeks to contribute to the education of people who are capable of science, passionate about what they do and connected to a sense of purpose to serve society through science.
